Ilocos Invasion

Day 1-Sept 4, 2010

sunny

This is my first time to visit Ilocos Region. Afraid ako dahil sa haba ng biyahe. I heard na sobrang haba ng travel time kung by land. Buti na lang at nagsale ang Philippine Airlines that time. I think yung round trip ticket namin na nakuha sa PAL is Php 2,000 plus lang yata.

Saturday morning after the 9-hour shift, so medyo bangag ang iba dahil galling sa work pero sige lang lakwatsa to. We first had our breakfast sa McDonald’s PS before kami nagpunta sa Airport Terminal 2 dahil 9am pa naman ang flight namin to Ilocos.

Before boarding the aircraft nagulat kami sa mga nakita naming…OMG! Tama ba nakita namin, It’s Imelda Marcos with Escorts kasabay namin sa plane. While on the plane, PAL served us with snacks (biscuit, juice, and peanuts). It took us 50 minutes to reach Laoaog International Airport.

Snack Time....

Remulla, and Speaker Sony Belmonte. Syempre di kami nahiya magpapicture with them.

Welcome to Ilocos Region Prescriber Team!!!

After few minutes, dumating yung sundo namin (thanks Tita Sally and Family). I ordered chicken inasala and Poque-poque (hmm..yung iniisip mo yan din naiisip ko first time I heard it), which is ensaladang talong.

Thanks tita for the service!!!

Poque-Poque? sounds good?

After the sumptuous lunch, we continue our travel going to Pagudpud. Hay another 2 hours ang travel time from Laoag to Pagudpud.

We rented 2 rooms for our overnight stay in Pagudpud. After 2 hours, we proceed na sa aming next destination.

After that we went back to our hotel to prepare for dinner. Loise and Ron ordered, Igado but it turned out na yung Igado nila is puro taba ng baboy na ang sarsa nya mantika din (nakakatakot….Cholesterol…..NAKAKAUMAY talaga). Si Lhen naman ordered pansit canton (may disclaimer pa sya bago dumating yung order nya “Walang Hihingi…”) When Lhen’s Pancit Canton was served, talagang walang humingi paano ba naman di kami nasabihan na mura pala toyo sa Pagudpud. WHoah…ito ang maalat sobrang alat nung pancit canton at dahil sa dami ng toyo yung pancit canton turned out to be Black Noodles. Huh! (take note…inubos ni Lhen to).

Pero parang ubos din yung food ha...

After this once in a lifetime dinner experience sa Polaris (di na talaga mauulit kumain dun), we just had bottle of beer while watching TV tapos natulog na din para makapagcharge for the next day’s activities.
