Para sa Aking Tanging Ina....
A Mother's Day Special
12.05.2011
May 08, 2011 ang Mother’s Day ngayong taon. Sunday morning, I went to Dangwa to buy flowers for my Mom. I know this is not enough to say “thank you and I love you.” I gave the flowers to her and I whisper to her ears while I am hugging her “Ma Happy Mother’s Day…We love you and Salamat Po sa lahat.” After I said that to my Mom, she kissed me and with her teary eye she said “Salamat Anak..”
On the evening we had dinner sa labas. Before we left the house, I asked my mother what particular cuisine she wanted to eat. She replied “Kahit ano..yung hindi natin lagi kinakain dito sa bahay.”
Honestly, maraming choices akong naisip pero I decided to bring them to Dad’s Kamayan Saisaki Restaurant in West Ave in Quezon City. Naisip ko sila dun dalhin dahil maraming food choices, from Chinese, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, and Filipino Cuisine.
We were immediately served by the staff of the restaurant.
On that note, nagsimula ang giyera sa kainan. Ako, as usual, I indulged myself sa mga Japanese food especially Tempura, Maki, and Sushi (my all time favorite). Faye and Mom started with tempura and some Filipino dishes.
After the first plate, syempre sayang naman kung hindi masusundan di ba? Kaya sinamantala talaga namin yung pagkakataon. I can’t remember kung nakailang balik kami sa buffet table. The only thing that I can remember is yung taste ng food na kinain namin.
After I paid the bill, the waiter handed a gift pack to my Mom. WOW! may special gift pala sila for all the Mothers na kakain sa restaurant nila that day.
We went to Starbucks Coffee Shop along West Avenue. Mom and I ordered Cappuccino while Faye ordered her all time favorite Frap Strawberries and Cream. While drinking coffee, nakapagkwentuhan at nakapagbonding kaming 3 about sa mga buhay buhay. Biruan….picture-taking…jokes.. and serious matter…
Around 10:30 in the evening when Mom said “Tara na uwi na tayo…” Then Faye finished her drink and we went home. That was an awesome night, a night to remember. Before I went to sleep, I prayed and thanked God because He gave me such a great and loving mother. Wala na kong mahihiling pa.
Mama…Walang Hanggang Pasasalamat….Mahal Ka Namin at Patuloy Pang Mamahalin….
